Leveling up design for the gaming industry and beyond

My name is Nickolas Kossup, and I have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. As a multi-media professional with over 14 years of experience, I have extensive creative and technical skills, and a strong background in corporate design, web design, branding, marketing, and print.

My focus for 5+ years has been video game marketing. Currently, I hold the position of Design Manager at ZAM AGENCY, the design and marketing wing of Tencent Games who deliver some of the best and biggest video games in the world. In that role, I lead internal and external design teams to create high-quality and easy-to-understand structural drawings and designs. I oversee the design process as an active participant, collaborate with and manage clients, and ensure the complete success of every delivery.

I also have excellent experience in the design of marketing materials and packaging for the beauty and pharmaceutical industries, with many successful side projects to show for it.

Outside of work, I enjoy time outdoors with my family and dogs, as well as writing, recording, and performing music.

    October 2017 - May 2020

    Conceptualize and develop dynamic and aesthetically pleasing packaging for global product line. Make sure brand consistency is fluid throughout all areas of design work. Designed assets used for visual merchandising and displays, web banners, decks, and social media assets. Communicate and work with 3rd party suppliers and retailers to ensure all content meets specifications. Web and in store assets can be seen in retailers such as Bloomingdales, Sephora, Nordstrom, and various international retailers.

    June 2017 - June 2018

    My responsibilities included creating sales decks, posters, calendars, one sheets, power points, designing in house magazines, designing and coding email blasts for internal and external clients, as well as presentations for national campaigns and handling day to day interactions with various clients throughout the country while positioning myself as a collaborative partner to field marketing leads.
